When I first heard of the BBM in the '60s, I thought it weird that they had a name so close to Canada's regulator of the time, the BBG. Admittedly the full names are not quite as close: Bureau of Broadcast Measurement v.s. Board of Broadcast Governors.

These days, I thought it was some sort of inflated ego that the BBM had, to associate themselves so closely with the BBG. But, a quick check of history, or at least the CCF version of it, and the BBM named themselves in 1942, and the BBG in 1958. So much for that theory.

I'm a little uncomfortable anytime you talk about shaving your :cat2: I'm not saying I've disliked every shaved :cat2: I've come face to face with, :cat2: But when you look like me, sometimes a :cat2: shaved or otherwise can be a little disconcerting  Anyway, what were we talking about :?:

I guess I got caught between the big bottomed mama and the shaved :cat2:  Sorry my mistake. I've always hated that BBM. Never seemed like a big enough sample, and the old fashioned ballot system was outdated the day it began. Ahem, there. :?

"The CKNW Morning News with Philip Till increased its audience by more than 24,000 listeners to 216,432 and, according to CKNW program director Tom Plasteras, actually outdraws Cluff on CBC by about 2,000 listeners during its time period."

Optimism's a great attribute. Especially in these uncertain times!

Or how about this quote, from a Corus press release?
CKNW rebounded from the no. 10 spot in A25-54 to the no. #6 spot.

They were less kind to CKWX:
This was a difficult book for News 1130. The station drops to #10 in A25-54 due to significant declines in both cume and share.

I thought it was kind of ironic that JJ failed to even mention the fact that CBU exists in the Vancouver market.

This 104.9 thing is nowhere near as good as CISL was. What a boring miserable excuse for a radio station. Even my local Parksville station has more variety.
