KJR-FM is now Oldies 957

Postby radiofan » Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:22 am

After six weeks of Christmas music, the format wheel has been spun at Seattle's Classic Hits KJR-FM. Following AT 40 with Casey Kasem this morning, the station
became Oldies 95 7. The Seattle market now has three Oldies stations. KVI 570 dropped conservative talk and returned to Oldies on November8th. In addition,
there is also move-in KMCQ 104.5 which runs a poor quality iPod with no jocks and no commercials. Look for a format change there once the station is sold.

The KJR call letters are only used on the top of the hour legal ID.

The new website is Oldies 957
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Like the last oldies station was successful?
I love Seattle radio, but recently there have been many dumb moves down there.
What a sly guy... Radio Vibes..
