When the cat is away the mice will play!!

I think someone will allow this to go on for about a week and then
put a stop to it.

The board has admins does it not?

The highlight was that someone actually felt compelled to "name" the A & W Root Bear. By the way, anybody
know what A & W stands for?

Well...After some research...
"History
A&W began in 1919 in Lodi, California, when Roy Allen took on partnership with Frank Wright to help him with
the root beer business he had started in 1919. They branded their product A&W Root Beer after their last names."

Ok, if you're so smart, who is McDonalds named after, or even better, who is the "Dairy Queen" I know that answer to that one, but I don't want to get him all fired up again. Just asking :P

John

I think you've missed the boat on this one...it was answered on Sunday and TD has already awarded the prizes to Sandclan.

That's the trouble...I can't figure out all these changes....give me a year or so...by that time, you'll have changed things again.

Its okay John I am here for you. I will sit with you. Now what about Hal, Ross and George?

Hal is alive and still playing bridge
George passed
Ross passed

we will all pass - sooner or later - you and I will never go as we are designed to confuse the masses

but you and I will not play bridge or cross a toll bridge. :occasion7:

We used to call A&W "ask and wait."
That was in the early '60's in Kelowna when we had the choice of A&W or Dairy Queen.

Speaking of the early 60's, does anybody remember ...The Dog and Suds ??
It was run like a A&W, with girls on roller skates at the drive in parking spots.

Just backing up a tad, and if I could answer the question back a couple.

The Dairy Queen thingee was founded by John Fremont Mc Cullough....... in Edina, Minneysota.

I know you didn't ask me, but I just couldn't resist answering.

And yes I do remember the Dog and Suds, it was in RF 's neighborhood.

Thanks for "clarifying" that Sandy. Did you not notice the (yes) ? ;)
Quite honestly, I'm more familiar with the Fogg 'n Suds. Now THAT should get some action from Dan!

Oh, and BTW Sandy.. I just about replied to Top Dog, because you called me bites. You should be careful who you associate with. Don't want to get tarnished!
