The Raccoon's name was "Sass" (short for the Salish word "Sasakuse", which means "Fleet of foot").

Once upon a very long time ago, "Sass" was an occasional weekend visitor at The Media Club...
...as you may or may not recall.

I remember him in the old club across from The Central where the Dance Machine used to be (Bennest is old so he remembers both of those places). A bunch of us were at the club one night .. I think Rochelle was amongst us .. and the raccoon was sniffing around on the bar top.

Even I remember playing Edison cylinders -- a Seattle DX friend had his grandmother's machine.

But if you remember playing Edison cylinders on the air, then that would make you old.

Playing Edison Lighthouse - "Love Grows on my Rosemary's Toes" doesn't make you old either. Though I would question your taste. Or that of your Music Director.

But, then again, Wolfman Jack played it on XERB. And not even Elvis dared question the Wolfie's musical knowledge.

How do we get our prizes?

Are yous till giving away A&W goodies to the winners?
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
