KAFE granted move to 104.1

The FCC has finally given the go ahead for KAFE 104.3 Bellingham to relocate to 104.1. This is the final chapter in a complicated deal that will see Vancouver's CHHR (Shore FM) move from 104.1 to 104.3 so KMCQ 104.5 in Covington,WA can increase power and relocate their transmitter site to adequately serve the Seattle market.

Gord from Northwest Broadcasters informs me that KMCQ will actually decrease power from 25KW's to 8KW's, however due to the fact that the tower will be relocated to Cougar Mountain the signal will cover the Seattle metro area much better than it currently does:
