The Papers in Vancouver are losing a million bucks a DAY. Hence - the pros have been bought out, and we have illiterate juniors on the desk.
It shows.
When is the last time you read a hard copy of a newspaper?
At my Hotel in Victoria, they left a Globe for me in the morning. I took it down to the front desk, as I was checking out.
The cashier laughed and said - "NO ONE reads these papers. We have our recycling bin filled everyday. What a waste of paper".
Times have changed. NO ONE will even pay 99 cents on a paywall for some newspapers.
Yipes.
