BC finally gets its icebreaker... two decades too late

So...essentially.... What we have now is that the West Coast is finally getting its long promised Polar 8 icebreaker project... 21 years after the project was first cancelled by the Mulroney Conservatives back in 1990, thus sealing the fate of North Vancouver's Versatile Shipyards by putting it into bankruptcy... and ending Vancouver's almost century-long history of shipbuilding at the old Burrard Drydock/Wallace Shipyards site.

Better late than never... I suppose...
