Back to the original question as to what's next in advertising. A CNN article claims the tobacco companies are already ramping up advertising plans for their new line of marijuana products in case the American federal government legalizes it. The parent company of Philip Morris has even registered a couple of domain names, AltriaCannabis.com and AltriaMarijuana.com, to protect their planned brands.
