CRTC Watches Porn

I can’t believe that the CRTC is keeping a close eye on 2 Canadian Porn Channels. They’re saying, that each channel must provide 35% Canadian content. Glad to see our tax dollars are being well spent. So come on Canada the CRTC want’s more homegrown Porn. Help the CRTC with titles like
Mabel Syrup
Tim’s Double Double
Anne of Green Gobbles
Saskatchewan *Rough* Riders
I’m sure the ONLY people that really care about Can-Con Porn is the CRTC. So there you have it…Comedy taken from real Life!

Obviously the porn industry's lobby group finally got to the crtc. Perhaps a weekend tour of some of their finer facilities across this fair land of ours.

By the way, one question that always haunted me is whether the Strip Industry and the Porn Industry really feel they are two different sectors in the Canadian Economy? This from a discussion with a fellow who felt he had performed a miracle by going directly into the exhalted position of DJ in the Strip Industry without the normally obligatory first stepping stone of being a DJ in the Radio Industry. He may actually have a point, as the hours and money are better, and there certainly is a lot more job security. By the way, he did straighten me out on the misconception that the scenery alone would make it worthwhile. In the larger venues where he worked the number of staff was enough to ensure that at least one was always in the middle of PMS which far outweighed any positive factors within the workplace.

the CRTC caught with their pants down on this one! :violent1:

apparently the CRTC was also upset about the lack of subtitles for the hearing impaired. and this quote from the National Post article: "Under standard CRTC policy, Canadian channels must also cater to the blind by offering “Audio Description,” a service in which narrators describe “graphics that appear on the screen.”

can you imagine having THAT job?!?!? :groovy:

They probably can't afford a DJ from the Strip Industry.

At the beginning of each program there will be the usual disclaimer.... with the added comment ... This program is presented with descriptive video for the visually impaired and closed captioning for the deaf.... perhaps the CRiTiC would be happy with these additions....
Exterior locations that show off Canada's grandeur would add to the featured programs.
