CYPRESS - Alex Bilodeau, of Rosemere, Quebec, wowed the crowd at Cypress Mountain, Saturday, by winning Canada's first gold medal on home turf.


Sport favourite Dale Begg-Smith captured the silver medal.


Quebec's Vincent Marquis finished fourth in the mogul's fina while teammate Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau from Drummondville, Quebec, finished fifth. Maxime Gingras from St-Hippolyte, Quebec placed 11th in the final.
