Anyone else playing Lotto max?

I've bought a few tickets at irregular intervals. Trying not to make it a regular habit though -- have already left a large enough cut of my net worth behind in Vegas over the years.

I am with Aaron - you spend money on Lotto - I spend it on washing my car

Chances of winning Lotto: nil
Chances of cleaner car: 100%

In that case, why spend the money at all?

...when you can wash the car yourself for free!

Agreed...But Lotto Max is $5 / week.

That's what.... about half the price of a coffee at Starbucks?

I get 2 cups of Starbucks and about a buck twenty in change!!
Thank-you very much!

You don't pay for water?
It's stunning what I am charged every second month for sewer and water by the City of Bremerton here in WA.

Back on subject, the Mega Millions is offered here and, if I wanted, I also have access to Power Ball draws from around the country. Those jackpots are regularly in the hundreds of millions but I still won't bite.
Hagopian is correct. The odds are Mega stupid.
(and here one is taxed on the winnings...heavily!

I even agree with this guy. Buying a ticket is a choice, renting is a choice, driving a bmw is a choice.

Life is a choice.

The odds are based on having a series of numbers. Each series has a 1 in 28 million chance of being the correct numbers.

The Max ticket has 3 series of numbers, and you can buy the bonus for another dollar to make it a six dollar ticket.

If you bought seven tickets with each having 3 series of numbers, then it is 21 not seven, if playing the Max and not 6/49 or B.C. Loto, which is only a dollar and with odds of 1 in 14 million

I buy a ticket sometimes. You have a chance with a ticket, and it is buying a dream. As Jack says it is all choice.

Lotto is your choice.
So is standing holding a golf club to the heaven's during a thunderstorm.
Go for it and good luck.

Buy a Mac instead and enjoy.

My mother-in-law - and this is no stretch to make a point - is absolutely, outrageously, mind-boggling-ly adept at picking winning tickets. I mean, she clears about 1,000.00-2,000 dollars per month on Nevada tickets (that and the slots are all she plays)... with an expenditure of around a hundred dollars. People actually touch her or the hem of her garments in hopes of her luck rubbing off. Her picture is hanging at the local casino as one of the top, regular winners. This is true.

As for me and the Big Lotteries: so far, I have won more than I have spent.

Now, you tell one.

Now I'll tell a true one.....

I could buy all the tickets but one....And "that" would be the winning ticket!
Your turn.

I've just spent my $5.00 for the ticket that sandclan didn't buy!

Good luck to me. See you in an upcoming BCLC TV commercial!

Hey Radiofan.....I just dug up that lottery agreement that you & me signed years ago stating that we split all winnings 50-50 with each other. Looking forward to my debut in television on that BCLC ad with you. :violent2:
