How to make an Old Fashioned Cocktail

How to make an Old Fashioned Cocktail

Postby Destro » Mon Jan 17, 2011 3:53 pm

My latest digital short. I am still learning the joys of video production... but I am fairly happy with this one. I think you'd have to want to learn how to make a cocktail to appreciate, so I figure, making it more entertaining to be compelling to a non-drinker might be useful... and I'll get there but for now, I present:

Do I have to get in line to be a sampler ?

Should you do a video on B-52's, then I would like to volunteer my expert taste buds

mmm, when I'm the DD (or most the time actually) coke on the rock sis wonderful.

PMC... B52? hmmmm.... not my style :P

But I think my next video will be the Vieux Carre if I can talk my bartender friend into teaching me.

Right now I can only make a superior (in my mind) Old Fashion, Manhatten and gin and tonic. But the Vieux Carre, now that is the trophy wife of cocktails.

"Want some whiskey in your water?
Sugar in your tea? "
- Randy Newman

...for the RW gang...that's pretty much all you'd need to know...everything else is just pulling taps, popping caps and pouring coffee.

Yep, they had a huge hit with it right around this date 41 years ago (feelin' old yet?) but Randy was the dude who wrote it.

Take the next Radiowest party on the road to Victoria, and I'll make you a drink! (and bring you a sticker!)

How about renting a hall in Tsawwassen? You could take the #70 bus from Victoria to Swartz Bay, walk on the ferry and Radiofan will be there to meet you on the other side. Never mind "a" sticker.....bring a whole god damn box of them!

Looking forward to that special blend bourbon cocktail (no rocks for me).

Isn't the idea of a cocktail a bit out of your league Dan.

More like :occasion5: for you.
