Thanks for putting this up! I loved the not so subtle jabs at Red. Nice work Mike!

An excellent interview Mike, and all involved. A very entertaining hour back in time. A very entertaining hour saved for the future!

My question is who is going to do the Mike Cleaver interview?

I'm only partially kidding because I think these are fabulous. Listening to them, it is obvious that the earlier the better in terms of getting complete recollections.

Note to prospective radio people: learn from Mr. Cleaver's interviews.

1. Be prepared and (ideally) know your topic.
2. Shut up and let the interviewee talk. It's all about them and not you.
3. Pay attention to what they say.
4. Ask follow up questions. Don't merely still to a pre-conceived list.

follow up question: what does this mean? stick?

the answer to a previous question - radiofan can interview Cleaver but Mike has a lot of interviews to do first.
Next is John Ashbridge. Hopefully followed by Ross Crain, Gene Kern, John Tanner and Wilf Ray.

Why not have Cleaver interview Cleaver? Judging from all his "when I worked at" and "I worked with" posts here, I can't think of anyone else who should have to do that one. ;)

An email suggested I look at a post in this thread by howaboutthat.
This series is about people who made BC Radio History, spending most if not all of their career in this province.
Only a small portion of mine was spent in BC, 7 years at CKOV in Kelowna and about three years at CJNW/CKNW.
That hardly qualifies me as an interviewee.

The picture in the first post of Frosty doing an interview in downtown Vancouver is interesting in that he is on the top floor of the unfinished Toronto Dominion Tower (the black tower)
at Granville and Georgia which would be the final place that Frosty worked. A very good interview!
