Heard in a news story about HPV injections during a major noon newscast, April 10, 2012 :

Human "Papillamova" Virus...

Sounds more like the name of a ballerina than a virus... :-)

And then there's this person on News 1130 who can't or won't pronounce French names.

Thinks this all points to the fact that few folks are actually getting any training. Back in the day, he says wearily, you had to be "bad out of town" before getting a shot at a major market.
Not the case now, I guess.
I cringe at some of the stuff I hear across the dial now.
I guess the Management doesn't care, or they think the audience are sheep.
Perplexing.
