NHL - Do you miss Hockey - or not?

Postby hagopian » Thu Dec 13, 2012 7:10 pm

I don't care about the NHL, anymore.

I watched the League since I was a pisher.

Now? I could care less. I don't miss the game in the least. I find myself getting a lot more done, instead of staring at the Sony and watching yet another meaningless game.

What's your feeling?

Miss it/ or not?

Love to hear what YOU have to say.

Not in the least.
Overpaid greedy bastards on both sides of this dispute.
And it's a pleasure to scan Google News and not have to see half of the stories under the Vancouver banner are about the local branch of greed.inc.
If you love hockey, support the amateur variety or better still, play it yourself.

I guess we've lost interest in hockey as a whole. One would think that with the NHL out of action hockey deprived fans would be flocking to Vancouver Giant or Abbotsford Heat games. Instead the opposite is happening with the stands being basically empty, especially in Abbotsford.

Count me as one of the NOTs. I've spent most of my weekends discovering Euro Soccer. Granted another bunch of millionaire players and billionaire owners, but at LEAST they're playing! LOL

So much damage control when this one's over, especially in the lesser markets. And for WHAT? They need to think "out of the box" and redesign the whole league. Get rid of the shootout, form a committee whose task it is to identify markets where the NHL is wanted vs markets the league needs to get out of. I LIKE the idea of aligning Vancouver with Pacific Time Zone teams if Seattle gets a franchise. FIRE Bettman. Have a pre-season tournament featuring the winners of the NHL, KHL, Swedish and Finnish Elite Leagues and rotate the host league each year.

Yeah, getting waaay off topic I know... :canduck:

It sounds like the only people really missing NHL hockey these days is anybody involved with Team 1040.

A pox on both their houses but yes I do miss it. Passes the dark winter nights away.
Really I am sick of the NHL. Our game has been hijacked by Americans.
It's time for a Canadian hockey league. Maybe include Boston, Detroit, Chicago etc. but with additional teams in Quebec City, Hamilton, Halifax etc.
Bye NHL
