CRTC Announces Changes from Commercial Radio Policy Review

Postby jon » Tue Oct 28, 2014 9:02 am

HD Radio, Last Available Frequency, Retention of Program Logs, Low Power Stations, License Compliance

They were all topics that the CRTC was reviewing in its Commercial Radio Policy Review. The votes are now all in, and the Policy changes have been announced:

Be warned: it is a very long document. Bolding helps highlight the major points.

The discussion here from almost a year ago when input was requested by the CRTC is here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15403

The Commission is of the view that it is too early to develop a policy for HD Radio technology given that it is still in its initial stages in Canada
