Today's Can-Con 45 is from 1976 ... Gail Dahms from Kitchener, ON and her cover of Fontella Bass' "Rescue Me" on Axe Records ...

Here's Gail in the 1060 CFCN radio studios with Mike Button and Bob Gibbons (not Fibbons) from a November 20, 1976 issue of Billboard magazine -

Gail visited CFCN as part of a promotional tour for "Rescue Me."

A little deeper in the issue is a mention in the Vox Jox news about Chuck Chandler and a couple of others from CHED attending a programmers forum in New Orleans. This would have been early Dec. in 1976.
