This song broke big when I was still a kid. Even at that early age, I could understand the melancholy that awaited all of us who grow up, break hearts and have our own hearts broken. A one hit musical wonder, Gale apparently did some acting in the US and was an essayist for the National Post soon after it debuted in 1998. I think, by then, she was going under the name Zoe as well.
