As I recall, there was something of a tug of war between Terry Jacks and former Chilliwack manager Keith Lawrence for signing Valdy to a record deal. Keith's fledgling label Haida prevailed and his brother Claire Lawrence (ex-Chilliwack and The Collectors) produced a string of CanCon hits for the amiable folkie. I always wondered if Terry Jacks produced a demo of Rock and Roll Song? If so, wonder what it sounded like?
