I spent months in Montreal in 1974 when hometown sensation Andy Kim released this funk-pop gem to widespread acclaim. Indeed, 1974 proved to be a banner year for Canadian musicians.
Rock Me Gently topped the Billboard Hot 100. So did Seasons In The Sun (Terry Jacks), Sundown (Gordon Lightfoot), (You're) Having My Baby (Paul Anka with Odia Coates) and You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet (Bachman Turner Overdrive). And Randy Bachman's previous band The Guess Who enjoyed its final Top 10 hit with Clap For The Wolfman.
