Today's Can-Con 45 is from 1968 ... From Vancouver, Mother Tucker's Yellow Duck and "I" ...

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

"I"was a slow-dance favourite at my Richmond High sock hops, back in the day. Along with the psychedelic-tinged One Ring Jane, it was also a great calling card for Mother Tucker singer Donnie McDougall's future prospects. In 1972, he got invited to join The Guess Who, replacing Greg Leskiw. Donnie, who can also sound uncannily like Burton Cummings, got a few lead vocals and co-writes while in the band. (He also hired on as a fifth member during the Guess Who's early 2000s reunion.)
