Today's Can-Con 45 is from 1972 ... Frank Mills and his cover of Ricky Nelson's "Poor Little Fool" ...

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

MOR fans will forever associate Frank Mills with piano playing. Whether tinkling ivories for The Bells or selling boatloads of his solo instrumental Music Box Dancer—either as 45s or single sheet-music transcriptions—Mills was branded a Piano Man.

But he wasn’t a half-bad vocalist. My favourite, well before MBD, was Love Me Love Me Love. It was a sad ode, in the fine tradition of weepers like Patches, Reuben James, Home From The Forest and, the five-hankie champion, Honey.

So, Frank, can we ever expect a Bells reunion with your hits included? Betcha lots of folks would love to hear you, Cliff Edwards and Jackie Ralph give it another whirl.
