Today's Can-Con 45 is from 1977 ... Trooper and "We're Here For A Good Time (Not A Long Time)" ...

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

This was Trooper midway through their time with Randy Bachman as producer. I suspect he also had a piece of the publishing of group originals which possibly led to band and producer parting ways by 1980.

A shame, because Trooper was always at the top of their game with Randy and trusted engineers at the helm. Too bad they never linked up again.

Just like previous hit, General Hand Grenade, it sounds like a party was breaking out while recording We’re Here For A Good Time (Not A Long Time). The album Knock ‘Em Dead Kid, was the first for Doni Underhill after replacing original bassist Harry Kalensky. Doni had previously played with Trooper keyboardist/co-vocalist Frank Ludwig in the Ontario band Brutus.
