Toronto bar makes good. Well, good enough to get two tugs at the brass ring with Capitol Records Canada. Under Deane Cameron, Canuck Capitol was a pretty savvy breaker of CanCon talent with both Tom Cochrane and Glass Tiger enjoying global hits.
The Jitters, gigging since 1981, unveiled their debut Capitol album six years later with Last Of The Red Hot Fools among the cuts enjoying national airplay. No sign of an American release, but the album gained distribution in the United Kingdom. The vocal core of the band—guitarists Blair Packham and Danny Levy plus bassist Matthew Greenberg—persevered with new members to release a 1990 followup Louder Than Words. Packham later cohosted In The Studio, a music show produced for radio by Bell Media. He then resumed a solo career, recording with help from Craig Northey of The Odds and Steven Page formerly of The Barenaked Ladies.
