CFUN Reunion 1981

Postby radiofan » Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:16 am

A few former and then current CFUN staff on the front steps of 1900 West 4th Avenue during a CFUN Rock & Roll reunion...

Image

On the right hand side I see Fred Latremouille, Frosty Forst. Daryl B and Red Robinson ...who else?
Thanks to Red Robinson for sharing this pic!
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Re: CFUN Reunion 1979 or 1980

I don't know where else in the building I was when this was taken but with Paul Ski photo-bombing the shot, it would have to have been sometime in the early 80's.
1979 would be too early.

Paul Ski, Buzz Leboe, Merv Connolly. We were a happy crew and it was nice that CFUN invited Frosty back to say hello as well.

So many memories. Thanks RadioFan.

It has to be 1981 or so.....1980, too early. NS is correct in that call, I believe.

None of us at 1900 West Fourth took what we had for granted. EVER. Stand up board. Loved it. Hit the POST, baby! Stan Davis Board. (*Used 'em at CKPG and CFAX, too - Stan had it cornered). Sennheiser mike. Your newsie was right behind you, and a step into the newsroom.

I baby sat, Daryl on his first shift at CFUN, and became fast friends. Even when he was at CHUM in TO and I was at CFTR - we still hung out. (* at great peril - because partying with the enemy was a big no-no). We didn’t care.

I can say with alacrity, that all of us KNEW how special CFUN was. I am sure you feel the same way about one or maybe more of the places you worked.

The talent I worked with at CFUN was BLINDING. We had a TEAM, and we all liked each other.

Treasured memories.
