Fred and Finn Push Paint for Woodwards

Postby Neumann Sennheiser » Thu Feb 12, 2009 1:52 pm

A rare TV spot for Woodwards, circa 1987, featuring spokesmen Fred Latremouille and Red Robinson (correction: Finn Anthony):

Shoot! I think you're right, Howie. They are kind of inter-changeable though, don't you think?

Well, I've already seen Brent Butt's stand-up act about a half-dozen times but being allowed in to catch the B-52's later this month would definitely be worth a little amount of kissing up.*

*Hmmm, the price for the show at Red's is around 75 bucks (Canadian dollars) a seat while a week later, here in Washington, the Snoqualmie Casino is asking 95 a piece (USD). Whazzup with that!!

Simple... the Cdn $ is worth less than the American $. (I'm going to start charging you guys for this advice!) ;)

Sorry Russ, but are you sure your math is correct? $75 Canadian versus $95 US. Or do you foresee a rapid increase in the value of the Canadian dollar soon?

This is what I was thinking; Russ has the math correct, but reversed. One USD costs 1.25 CAD, so 95.00 USD is roughly worth 119.00 CAD.
75.00 for the Canadian show in CAD is a bargoon! (plus the usual Ticketmaster charges of course. That's a pretty much equal rip-off in either country).
