While the Toronto station is doing quite well, the ratings for Boom in Ottawa aren't great (1.5 share 12+ compared to BOB FM's 3.7 share)
Also, Shore has a 15% category 3 commitment, which would make doing classic hits rather difficult. Of course they may just use the Boom branding and do oldies, perhaps that's the plan and Gerry O'Day will be the morning man & PD.

Gerry would have been a great choice for PD and Mornings, but, he is no longer with the company.
I'd think Ronnie Stanton will program both Virgin and Boom. With the huge investment Astral has made, they have one chance to make a splash and will go with a proven morning show that compliments the music format. I'm hearing rumblings from within the building that Nat and Drew might be making a move across the hall. They'd be a great fit for an adult targetted radio station.
As for a Nat & Drew replacement on Virgin, let's just say the game is to Beat the Beat.

Different will win.
Jocks will be true hosts again - instead of liner card parrots.
