CKNW looks good if you compare them to the same time last year but the reality is their demos are probably awful and who knows about their Central Market numbers. Otherwise it looks like more of the the same. Plenty of money to go around for the handful of large companies that control radio. CISL looks like it took a pretty big hit but maybe some of their diehard listeners have figured out how to stream it on their computers.

I think the raking switch shows the promo of LG on CISL may help LG despite they still lost 0.2 in sum, maybe the removal of Larry and Flax on both station's morning show did force people stop listening Newcap?

NWs 12+ cume is 155,000, traffic station is 61,000.
How is that the same?

Looking at the dump CISL took, I wonder how long it'll be until they become all infomercials and paid programming all the time.

Taking a proven personality out of the mix and replacing it with a "morning show" that starts at 7 along with voice tracking the rest of the day isn't what listeners want.

Rogers must be laughing all the way to the bank after getting rid of the KISS FM million dollar morning mistake and no great loss of listeners.

That's probably why CISL's numbers took such a dump. Radio has been ruined by paper shufflers like Newcap and the government has allowed it. The big radio US companies like Clear Channel (iheart) and Cumulus are both on the verge of bankruptcy. After ruining hundreds of stations and firing thousands of people Wall St. made hundreds of millions in fees. I wonder how much the Bay Street bandits pocketed on the latest Shaw/Corus shuffle?

Given all the promotion of LG on 650, and overlap between the two, it kind of looks like they're trying to kill CISL and migrate as much of the audience to 104.3 as possible -- and it seems to be working.

Does Roundhouse Radio not subscribe to the PPM's?

Not yet, unfortunately. Would be very curious to know their plans. Probably in their best interest though, as they're not playing today's PPM game and can sell locally based on quality rather than quantity.

Nice jump for LG 104.3. Sooner or later I thought this station would break out with the ppm. After all the format changes Rogers has made at 104.9, I have no complaints with the overall poor ratings at 104.9 at this time.
