AVR Radio

I will proclaim I don't know all the politics in this station. It's been dead air the last two or three days in Vancouver and so many failures in the past. It's a waste of valuable spectrum on FM at least here in Vancouver. Is there anything the CRTC can do to put this station out of it's misery?

The CRTC revoked the licenses for AVR stations in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, and Ottawa in July, 2015. AVR appealed the decision and the suspension was stayed pending the outcome of the appeal. Apparently the appeal has yet to be dealt with by the courts. A year does seem like an awful long time, especially seeing that legitimate Aboriginal broadcasters have applied to launch stations on the existing AVR frequencies.
