Wonder what that means for Dan Riendeau who currently hosts, out of Calgary, the @Night show heard during the time period on CHED and CHQR that Adler will be taking over.

Good to see we won't have to listen to Global TV on Corus radio for US election coverage

Great news. The rebuilding of CKNW into a real news/talk station has begun.

With a solid professional talk show host in the evening, it'll be interesting to see what they do with the amateur farm team now occupying the other dayparts.

Guessing that this will run out of the Black Tower. Didn't Adler move to Vancouver?

Guessing this is the end of the gig for Shane Foxman at 'NW.

Perhaps we'll also see the return of the Roy Green Show on the weekends.

I've listened to Adler's first few nights and I haven't been disappointed.

After three years of dribble in the evenings, it's a pleasure to hear some intelligent talk once again on CKNW. Nice mix of stories and guests covering all of Western Canada.

The lead in to the show will be the challenge. The simulcast of Global TV news is an absolute joke. And then there's the PM drive slot with gravel voiced Steele and the stuttering Wannabe Wallaby talking
over each other for 4 hours.

The rebuilding process will take time and money, so I'm not holding my breath on an overnight transformation of NW.
