CNN a ratings winner in Canada

Postby kal » Sat Nov 05, 2016 9:03 am

The US election cycle has proven a ratings boon to CNN here in Canada. The channel is outdrawing CBC News Network and CTV's News Channel by wide margins. A 1.5 million draw figure on a given night is very impressive in Canada. Presumably CNN is also a big draw for Canadian SiriusXM customers.

How do you like hundreds of millions of your tax dollars going to subsidize the CBC News Channel? Plus you are forced to pay for it a second time if you buy any cable package other than the skinny basic. Canadians are chumps.

The CBC is living in Fantasyland.

They have cut a bit - but, in reality, it's darn hard on the Taxpayer.

Time to chop, like the rest of media - all struggling to pay the bills.

Not surprising when you consider that most of the news Canadians get on the US election either comes from news service feeds from the Clinton favouring media in the US or CNN (otherwise know as the Clinton New Network) who were actually feeding Hillary many of the questions that would be asked at one of the debates she had with Bernie Sanders.

Fortunately, there's the Internet to turn to for our non-liberal-biased news and info.
