Christy Clark - Any chance she'll return to NW?

Postby Jim Walters » Fri Jul 28, 2017 2:07 pm

Now that Former BC Premier (and one time CKNW talk show host) has announced her resignation from BC politics, is there any chance that she has been offered a new gig at the Black Tower?

The natural spot for her would be to replace her replacement in the ratings challenged mid day slot.

Stranger things have happened.

Hard to believe that she wouldn't get a better offer elsewhere. Her predecessor was made Canada's High Commissioner to the U.K. despite two large clouds hanging over him that led to his resignation as Premier.

Even "Premiers for Five Minutes" in other provinces end up with high paid jobs peddling influence to government. I just cannot see CKNW paying that kind of money, especially for mid-days.

Wonder if Ben Stewart from Quails Gate will want to get back into politics. He was the one who gave up his seat so Clark could run in the West Kelowna area after she was defeated in Gordon Campbell's riding. Of course anyone who runs will end up in the opposition .... at least for now.

I think that Shifty Clark did a hit and run. She and her convicted drunk driving predecessor literally robbed the public purse for 16 years or better. When the minority government eventually digs up her past, it will be clear that Clark stole from that purse and retired early, to escape the music, while ensuring herself a big, fat taxpayer paid pension.

Regarding her return to CKNW, only a desperate, former politician would want to work there. But, it's hard to see her landing at a lawfirm or teaching. What would she teach, how to rip off the public with gigantic, steady raises for her and her cronies, while preaching everyone else to practice restraint ? The balanced budgets came at a great price to honest, working folk. Most of the not for profits got their funding slashed, the entire Provincial civil service was on a giant hiring freeze for nearly 10 years.

Meanwhile, the people of West Kelowna were clearly conned by this former failed Point Grey politician. Nobody ever saw Clark or her son at any public place, restaurant, gas station or local shopping mall. I've seen the mayor (Doug Findlater) gas up a few times. he makes 100 g's a year, yet drives a little. shit kicking compact car ! Nobody knows what Clark drives, except that she must drive people crazy, or else, she gases up at Elk Lodge, 45 kilos up the Connector ? LOL

No chance she returns to NW.
Backroom boy Patrick Kinsella helped her land the gig as a way to boost her profile.
Mission accomplished.
She won the BC Liberal leadership race and became premier.
You know how the story ends.

I think she'll write a book and call it What Happened by Christy Clark. ;)

Cheers,
