Everyone talks about cutting the cord. Disney has left netflix to start up their own 'streamer' then there's Amazon, and so many more to come. Is it really worth cutting the cord?

CBS has recently announced they'll be including Canada in it's recent VOD streaming service. No mention of any prices so far, that I've seen. As mentioned earlier, Netflix already has competition from Amazon, Hulu, Comcast and others.
So much to watch, so little time.

bigbry raises the bigger issue, in my opinion, that the Netflix price increase.

As these large content producers start their own streaming services, they are yanking their programming from Netflix.

Soon you will have to buy three or more different streaming services to get all the content that you want. Now that is a price increase!

Note that the Disney content will not be pulled from the Canadian Netflix service. That move, at least for now, is strictly for the US marketplace.

It could be that this plethora of streaming services will eventually serve to stem cord-cutting, with consumers fed up with too many different bills.
