Kim Larson on AM730

What a pleasure to hear Kim Larsen reporting for AM 730 today. Articulate, warm and doesn't slur over the calls. Also had great, well presented info. Makes you realise what you settle for on a daily basis when you finally hear a pro.

I must be wrong but I am pretty sure I heard Kim doing the 6am traffic on CISL radio THIS morning.
Possible?

I understand that Vancouver is like Edmonton, with all traffic reports done by the "airborne traffic" companies. Although each company's announcers are usually assigned to only one station or cluster (stations owned by the same company), announcer absences are covered by the traffic company's announcers for other stations, occasionally even the traffic company's announcer for another cluster.

I would not expect station announcers to substitute during shifts assigned to the airborne traffic companies because that would mean the traffic company would lose the revenue from the embedded commercials.

Kim Larsson (note the spelling) is terrific when it comes to traffic reports. Very similar to the late Bruce Williams. Yes, I too regularly hear him on 650 and other outlets. I presume he works for CTS, Canadian Traffic Services.
