Today's Can-Con 45 is from 1967 ... A hit in Canada and the US for Vancouver's Tom Northcott ... "Sunny Goodge Street" ...

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Despite his ornately produced singles, Tom often performed solo back in the day. So it was a treat to see him paired with Spring for a mid-90s Vancouver Classic Rock reunion that also featured The Chessmen. Bob Buckley flawlessly recreated the circus-like keyboard trills on Sunny Goodge Street. (I think Leon Russell played them on the original.)

Any Tom Northcott sightings in recent years?
