For those that may not be aware, Doc Steen's little boy Jerry is now at Magic 99 Edmonton, doing middays.
Danny Holiday was at KOL Seattle in the mid-1960s. He then became the PD at KSND, one of the first Oldies stations in the U.S., and was the one who hired Robert O. Smith from KJR.
Danny has retired to a beach home in Stanwood, Washington. He has a website, http://www.dannyholiday.com
, which, among other things, indicates that Red Robinson was his mentor.
It also includes a newspaper article written when he left KBSG, indicating he started in Anacortes at 14, running errands for the DJs there, and becoming an announcer there in 1960, running "the religious shift". Next it was Bellingham (probably KPUG), then KOL before serving in the military. Then it was Spokane and back to KOL and KSND.
