The CRTC has approved Standard Radio's proposal to acquire Kelowna's CILK-FM station.
The CRTC also approved the sale of transmitters in Kelowna, Magna Bay and Big White Mountain

Standard requested a licence to continue the operation of the station under the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licence, upon surrender of the licence issued to CILK FM. Standard indicated that it would likely alter the current classic rock format of CILK FM to more of a contemporary hits format targeting the over 35 demographic, thereby avoiding competiton with the classic rock format of CKLZ FM, Kelowna and the Top 40, Hot AC format of CHSU FM.

Standard also proposed a benefits package, which represents 6% of the value of the transaction, to be allocated to: 3% to the Radio Starmaker Fund, 2% to FACTOR and 1% to the local talent initiative, with the City of Kelowna, to be paid to participating artists.

I know it's early but are there any rumblings about the fate of people like Rick Dyer and other duplicate positions?
