JACK 96.9 (CJAX-FM) Vancouver eliminated numerous staff last week including the morning show team of Kiah (Tucker) & Tara Jean (Stevens), morning show producer Eric Chapman and afternoon drive host Rick Lee. Former JACK personality Kenny Jones, most recently morning co-host at Country 101.1 (CKBY-FM) Ottawa, has been filling in on mornings, but will be the new host of afternoon drive.

Along with the on air staff changes at JACK FM, I wonder if the programming folks have ever considered reverting to the music that was played on the station when it had a 15 share after it's launch?

When Larry & Willie arrived, the music on the station changed and they have been on a downhill slide ever since.

Give potential listeners something to listen to, not the same tired songs you can hear on any other station.

The original JACK playlist would sound just at tired as you're claiming today's is.

At the time, they played songs that were completely missing from mainstream formats. Classic Rock with pure rock, and AC was becoming a slightly softer version of CHR. Their enormous success caused other stations to find ways to work that music back in. Hence, J Geils back on ROCK 101, some 80s back in QM/FM, and the very existence of LG 104.3.
