Just curious, did the Beat win best media booth at the PNE?
They must have mentioned 111 thousand times! Granted it's a nice little award,
and worthy of a mention or two, but not EVERY break. I listen to the beat quite
a lot because my daughter likes it, and I certainly have some thoughts:
I know I'm past your demographic, but some of the banter between anncrs.
is so incredibly lowbrow it scares me. Is this what teenagers and twenty somethings talk and think like. I guess it like, is, like, really. I'd comment
on how often we have to say the word ass on the Beat, but we live in a glass
house there in sports radio. Our station uses it too much as well, and I've used
it on the air, so what can I say? Oh by the way, can you play Promiscous by
Nelly, Hips don't Lie by Shakira, Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, just a couple more times? I also, and I want to be politically correct here, don't quite understand
the fascination with hip hop. Notice how the most successful hip-hop songs
always have more melodic stuff melded with it. Just some observations from
an over the hill 47 year old Dad. Then again, like, what do I like know anyway?
