Yes, Doreen was let go after 20-plus years. I met her in the Selkirk days and she was always pleasant, friendly and professional.

Hi Jennifer -

That's great. The more diversity on the local airwaves the better! Remaining focussed on entertainment and guests from the community will probably turn out to be the right choice.

It would be a good idea to have this info posted on the station's website (I still don't understand why it isn't - I would have thought it would be the first thing they'd do).

Also take out some print ads - Given your format, I'd suggest the Georgia Straight for starters.
