CKNW talkshow host Bill Good took home a Spirit of Vancouver Award on Wednesday for a series of broadcasts on crime in Vancouver.

In his acceptance speech the notoriously fence-sitting Good seemed confused about the win saying that he "did not recall" the broadcasts in question.

"I'm honoured that the committee would choose me, but that's just my opinion" noted the befuddled broadcaster, raising his glass in a toast and pouring the contents down the front of his rented Madison Menswear tuxedo ... "What does everyone else think?"

The room went silent as Good's handlers looked on helplessly.

"I'm for the continued escalation of crime in this great city" Good continued, "unless that's not a good thing. I don't know."

The crowd applauded politely while Susan Kleiderman, Senior Producer of The Bill Good Show leapt to the podium and led the confused talkshow icon off the stage.
