Thanks to cArtie for many hours spent researching and laying out this Vancouver Radio Guide from October of 1947.

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

One question and one answer. Where is Jack Cullen?

Perry Mason was a soap opera on Radio. On TV, it was split into two, with "Edge of Night" being the soap opera part.

OK, another question. Anyone know if CKMO announcer Al Reusch was related to Randy Raine-Reusch the musician?

#3: were any of these stations on all night?

I didn't spend "many hours," actually. It didn't take all that long and if I had a scanner, it'd be a breeze. It's on my to-buy list.

Just a note for NW fans looking at the listings..

Warren Johnstone was the morning man.
Phil Baldwin hosted various shows from 10:30 am onward.
Bill Rea, we all know about ('cept you youngsters).
Hal Davis did the noon newscast.
Lew Fox was the all-night guy.

'NW took out small ads in the Province & Sun entertainment sections in '47 with pix, plugging the abovementioned. Spending $ to make $, it appears.

In the bar? ;)

I thought he was at CKMO until 1949 when Bill Rea lured him to 'NW. My guess would be he was doing the Owl Prowl overnight, but that's a wild guess.

For whatever reason, the newspapers didn't list all-night or early morning hours. WX had a farm broadcast at 6am, but there's no mention of it in the radio listings. Odd, considering NW bought newspaper ad space to plug their all-night guy.
