CFDC changed call-letters to CKWX on Saturday, July 30, 1927. Here are the Vancouver Sun's listings for that date and Sunday, July 31st. (Note how little 'WX has changed since the first day ;) )

CJOR Program
SATURDAY (291 metres)
6:00 to 6:10 p.m. - Devotional period.
6:10 to 7:30 p.m. - Dinner program.
7:30 to 8:00 p.m. - Studio program.
8:00 to 9:00 p.m. - Studio program.
9:00 to 10 p.m. - Evening Sun Variety Hour.
10:00 to 12:00 (midnight) - Dance orchestra.

* Note * as these are Vancouver Sun listings, there's no mention of CKCD, the Vancouver Province station. For some reason, CFCT Victoria is not listed and other west coast stations are noticeably absent.

The Oakland Tribune of July 29, 1927 has an article entitled "3 NEW CHAINS TO COMPETE IN NETWORK FIELD - Northwest Radio Co. Service of S.F. to Hook Up Its Four Stations." The paper is so faded the article is unintelligable in many places but Northwest Radio Co.'s stations were KJR, KYA, KGA and KEX. Another part of the article deals with the impending arrival of CBS, with WOR Newark as the flagship and WMAQ Chicago the western terminus, on Sept. 1st.
