My favourite eatery just put up a large framed photo of the original resident of their building, a Rexall Drug Store called High Level Drugs.
Based on one of the prescription delivery vehicles, a 1960 Chevy station wagon, and a poster in the window, I was able to date the picture to the early 1960s. The poster in the window was a CHED concert poster, sponsored by Wild Root hair cream, I think it was.
Radiofan and I toured some historical transit buses on display downtown a few years ago, only to find one of the historical pictures had large radio signage in it, too. CJCA this time, I think it was.
I'm not sure about today. There certainly are a lot of radio and TV billboards. Here we also have a lot of bus benches with radio advertising, and the sides of buses themselves. But not so much in terms of concert posters.
