Marion Bews dead at 93.

Although she wasn't on the air very much, I note the death at 93 of Marion Bews, lifetime corporate secretary for the founding Browne family, working with Big Jim, Jim, Jr. and Jaimie, long time owners of CKOV and CJOV-FM in Kelowna.
Marion started with the station in the '40's, met and married her future husband, Jack Bews, who was the station's news director from the '40's until his retirement in the '70's.
She was like a mother to many of the young staffers, who came from far away to work at the station.
Marion also retired in the '70's.
There'll be a memorial service in January.
RIP, Marion and thanks for all your help for a young kid just starting his radio career back in 1961.
