Ran across this gem a while back. It's circa 1962 at CJDV in Drumheller, Alberta.

My first real radio job doing an evening show called the "Platter Party" from 9 to midnight.

Who am I?

I struggle with pictures of Lorne Ball and Cam McCubbin from the early '60s so I"m going to say it's Cam McCubbin but will not be surprised if it is, in fact, Lorne Ball.

LOL! Figures I'd still get it wrong. Now there are three Alberta radio guys who I can't easily distinguish in pictures from the early '60s.

I thought Neumann would have snapped that one up .. CJDV was his hometown station and his first on-air job!
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

And to further confuse matters, Edmonton has its own Paul Preston, who also worked in a number of Alberta markets, though apparently not Drumheller. J. Paul Preston is co-owner of FortRadio.com, who lost out to Golden West for a license for Fort Saskatchewan, an Edmonton suburb.
