Lee Marshall Dies
April 28, 2014 at 8:25 AM (PT)

Condolences to family and friends of longtime radio personality and newsman LEE MARSHALL, who died SATURDAY (4/26) after a battle with cancer at 67. MARSHALL's passing is being reported by KFBK-A-F/SACRAMENTO and other sources.

MARSHALL worked at several stations across the country, including KABC-A, KGFJ-A, KDAY-A-KBLA-A, and KHJ-A/LOS ANGELES, WOR-F/NEW YORK, KCBQ-A/SAN DIEGO, CKLW-A/WINDSOR-DETROIT, KVEN-A/VENTURA, and KOY-A and KRIZ-A/PHOENIX, and took over as the voice of KELLOGG'S TONY THE TIGER after THURL RAVENSCROFT's passing in 2005. He was also known as a pro wrestling announcer for the AWA and WCW.

Reports say that Lee Marshall, voice of Tony the Tiger, respected newsman, and World Championship Wrestling announcer has passed away.

Friends on his Facebook are posting comments of memories and their condolences.

Marshall worked at various stations in his career such as K-ABC and KHJ in Los Angeles.

He was the voice of Kellog's iconic Tony the Tiger, succeeding Thurl Ravenscroft when he passed away in 2005.
