I see Moses Znaimer is applying to the CRTC to buy a classical music FM in Toronto.
Lot's of talk about expanding the market for classical music among young people and giving "a voice" to undiscovered Canadian talent. Sounds like a classic CRTC bait and switcheroo. Tell the girl what she wants to hear until you get what you want. Moses will get his mitts on the station and within a year be back at the CRTC whinging that despite his best efforts he just can't keep the place in business playing Mozart and needs to switch formats. Cue the employees with guillotines hanging over their heads. I guess trying to run a business in the real world was just too tough for Moses. There's lots of rough and tumble competition selling dime bags of weed, unlike the gentile world of major market radio. I guess it just took Moses a little while to figure it out.
