A Christmas Ditty

A Christmas Ditty

Postby Tape Splicer » Fri Dec 23, 2011 5:29 pm

With a few hours 'till Christmas - the shopping all done -We're wrapping the gifts and oh is it fun....
With odd shaped boxes, some round and some square - The long ones, short ones, hope the paper won't tare...
The turkey is thawing the veggies are there . the fridge is so full, there's no room to spare....
The home is all decked with cards lights and such - hope people won't think it's too much...
We keep the season as best as we can - and celebrate with family and friends both new and old...
The kids are watching NORAD's Santa report - With the countdown clock, hope he won't be late....

.....As I write the above I realize that for some Christmas is a difficult time of the year because of situations beyond one's control.... illness, loss, etc.... To you I express the hope that there will be a measure of contentment, peace, and that there will be a friend to stand by you through the season.

There was an old man from Nantucket
Who got stuck Christmas Eve in a bucket
With no helpful elf
He thought to himself
When the New Year comes round nip-and-tuck it!
