New Column Debuts Monday

Greetings Valued Members and Visitors!

After days of being inundated with emails asking why we didn't have a British presence to help our readers hone their broadcasting skills, Radiowest takes great pleasure in welcoming broadcast veteran Percival W. Billingsgate as the newest member to join our team.

In addition to helping shape Radiowest's future as the nation's leading purveyor of news of interest to professional broadcasters, Mr. Billingsgate will also post a weekly column - The Phlegm Machine - which will debut here on Radiowest Monday, May 19th.

We welcome your comments as we continue to build on our solid and growing web presence within the industry, even if we have to write them ourselves!

Happy Posting!

This is a bit like the email I sent radiofan this morning with a
post elsewhere that caught my eye.

It said - "please join us here and we can only get better".
Unfortunately for the writer - only one person replied.

I am sure both Pluto, Mrs. Pluto, Transistor Sister and
Percival will continue to be welcome fodder for the post and reply

I know I'm getting really excited and I'm not even a broadcaster, just someone who's hoping PWB esq. will teach me how to talk all proper like HM the Queen (I call her Betty, we're tight) and of course, Phil Til. :)

Not sure who this Phil Tilt guy is you all talk about so much.

In my life, the icon of all things cultural was Phil Dirt who I heard guesting on Lan Roberts' shows on KOL and KJR Seattle for so many years. A local folksinger even released a two sided Ode to Phil Dirt that Lan played on his Annual Garbage Record Festival.

Can we expect Percy to expound on all the Phils in our collective lives?

David,

Rest assured that Percival's expertise in the field of communications will be of benefit to everyone, not just broadcasters.

He is a born teacher as you'll see here on Radiowest come Monday morning.

Percival has just telexed me his first column and I have to tell you it is astonishing how he has managed to put some extremely complex subject matter into simple everyday language that anyone can understand.

I know that you and all of our other members and visitors will savour his every word.

See you Monday!

No, we are trying to beat CHQT Edmonton's iNews880 [.com] to an All News format. Do you think our 24 hour head start will help us?

We've still got 40 hours to come up with a new name: what's the hurry?

I have been honoured, personally, in the past, to have been a beneficiary of Mr. Billingsgate's largesse, and am extremely pleased and happy to see that his knowledge and wisdom will soon be made available to all through this forum, so we are not forced to flee on foot to some other location far away from our residences.
